Traditional (Tank) Water Heaters
Just like the image featured to the left, this is the traditional style of water heater that you may have thought of or seen in your garage or closet. They fill up with water and then heat that to the desired temperature via gas or electricity.

Pros: Cheaper parts and installation costs
Cons: Less efficient, higher gas/electric costs

Tankless Water Heaters
Newer technology leads to more efficiency. The tankless water heaters heat water on demand instead of storing a supply of hot water, which is kept at the desired temperature.

Pros: More efficient, longer lifespan, investment, lower gas/electric costs
Cons: More expensive unit, higher installation costs, may require an electrician to install
